A Long Time Ago, in a land far away, a Demon Mistress know as Sulynn attacked the kingdom of Flyllon.
Soon the forces of Lady Sulynn began winning the war, decimating the Earth, killing everything that was in front of them.
Holding the Last Castle, Prince Zillon prayed to the Spirit for Nature for help against Sulynn, and she lend her her powers: if Sulynn won, she would be destroyed too.
Seven Wise men stepped up, and harnessing the spirits of nature, hold in special masks, they sealed the Evil Mistress in a Dark World, but not without a great cost: Their Kingdom had been completely destroyed, and they were sealed inside the Masks they used to harness the powers of Nature.
Prince Zillon collected the Sage's Masks, and being warned that Sulynn would return some day, asked the Spirit of Nature a last favor: To freeze him and the Masks, so they would awake when Sulynn returned. If she returned at all.
Nature consented and transformed him in unbreakable rock. A statue of himself.

In 2009, with people no longer respecting Nature as they should, the seal has gotten weaker, and Sulynn took her chance to free herself, awaking Zillon in the process. Knowing the danger the world was in, Zillon and the Masks chose new wearers, who became the Power Rangers: Masked Sages!
